Top Reasons to Visit the Algarve, Portugal!

Every holiday has to be slightly different, in some way at least, otherwise, why pay out the expenses to do the same things you’ve done before? So, for those of you who need to try something new, the Algarve is certainly an experience that holds no similarities to any other. In fact, even if you have been before, you’ll have a completely new and different experience to the last time, that is for sure.

Whilst there are aspects of the holiday that can be found elsewhere, for example; sandy beaches, history, outdoor activities, they are completely different to any you might end up finding in a more conventional holiday destination.

Going somewhere which is conventional is always recommended if you’re looking for something to please the majority; it is always more fun to please yourself and perhaps a select few who like similar things from time to time. The Algarve is perfect for those who love nature, being in the great outdoors, and having a constant sensation of relaxation throughout the entire holiday.

Sandy beaches & the great outdoors…

The Algarve is plastered with a scorching heat day in day out. Whilst it is all year round, there is still plenty to drink and the temperatures rarely reach dangerous heats; meaning you can simply enjoy the sun rather than worrying about burning (as long as you wear the right sun block)

The beaches stretch for miles with beautiful turquoise seas and white smooth sands; absolute perfection for the beach lovers. It replicates the likeliness of a beach in Barbados, but without the ridiculous heat restricting you to minimum movement.

History & Outdoor fun…

The history here is sacred; it isn’t something which just happened so we should learn about it. Instead, it is a genuine belief that the landscape is something really to be envious of, from afar countries and that the locals are extremely lucky to be surrounded by such natural beauty such as; a dramatic lighthouse which beams over sixty kilometres away and the steep rock cliff; these things make up a landscape which is simply nothing like anywhere else.

The activities consist of absolutely everything. Whether you want to play football, tennis, golf, go jet skiing, scuba diving, rock pooling, etc. there is something here that will suit your needs that’s for sure, but there’s also things here that you might not have experience either, so why not take the opportunity whilst you can!

Great food and Culture…

Here the food and culture go hand in hand; both are very welcoming and will suit everybody who is lucky enough to experience them. The people are great and will be eager to make friends with you; ensuring you have a great time whatever it is you might be doing! The restaurants are all located in beautiful areas in which you can indulge your meal whilst also indulging the gorgeous surroundings!

Treat Yourself To Some Quailty

As the main holiday season is over, research shows holiday makers chose to spend more money this year on good quality resorts and services over saving on price. Travel Insurance specialist Columbus Direct found that nearly 47% of holiday makers spent between £1000-£3000 on holidays already this year with 1 in 5 spending over £5000 on their trips.

A surprising 5% of Brits spent less than £500 on their holidays this year which is a revelation especially after the recession. This is good news for holiday companies as it means luxury resorts are starting to get the appreciation they deserve.

So, with this in mind, we have picked out our top three luxury quality holiday destinations guaranteed to be worth those extra pounds for next year’s holiday, or this years if you’re lucky enough to squeeze one in.

Croatia

Croatia is magnificent due to its Dalmatian coastline which stretches across the Adriatic from Slovenia. What makes Croatia so idyllic and luxurious is its crystal clear, turquoise waters and countless flawless bays.

We recommend you visit Croatia during the spring or summer when the sun is most prominently out and the days are dry. Temperatures usually reach up to 30 degrees on the coast during August. The location has all the luxury sites you will but there are parts where you can turn up the luxury button yourself, by indulging in some of their excellent value seafood’s and testing the local wines.

St Lucia

St Lucia the dream honeymoon destination due to the glam mountainous, beach views and resorts on the Caribbean island. However, this isn’t to say the posh island should be over looked by families looking for their yearly holiday as there is much more on offer than just the romantic strolls, lays and eats. The rainforest in St Lucia is made for hiking with the canopy of green which covers the island. The mountainous hills, Pitons rise and Pyramids of Volcanic stone are not to be missed either. - Then you must go back and relax on the beach.

St Lucia also bombards you with sights, sounds and smells of an active island. The waters are ideal for scuba diving, water sailing, jet skiing, snorkelling and much more - all in complete style because after all you are St Lucia.

Mauritius

Mauritius has commonly been described as ‘heaven’ with someone once saying Mauritius was made first then heaven copied. No matter where you look in Mauritius every angle is picturesque. During your trip you will experience a multitude of colours and tastes in an oasis of pure tranquillity.  Like the others, the waters in Mauritius are perfect for any type of water sport including diving and sailing, deep sea fishing windsurfing, and snorkelling. However if you’re someone who doesn’t like to get your feet wet then you can take a tour around the reefs on a boat trip.

If you are travelling with golf lovers, then Mauritius is the one for you! Its unbelievable golf courses situated near the Indian Ocean provide you with views which are enough to put you off your tee!

Looking for a holiday that is enjoyable from start to finish?

Like any holiday, the most important thing is that it is enjoyable from start to finish. This might seem like something rather obvious to point out, but it is also something that can unfortunately be a hard thing to accommodate.
Fortunately for you, this is completely out of your hands and always should be. You might be wondering why this is the case. Well, it means that it is not your job to find the perfect holiday, where you’ll be enjoying yourself from the time you land until you take off again to go home, this is down to us, Compare Discount Holidays!
This is all achievable through a visit to Cape Verde for one primary reason. To relax by a pool in beautiful weather, go surfing in the most appropriate of seas, or possibly dance the nights away in the most exclusive clubs! Cape Verde not only promises just one aspect of a holiday, instead, you get a great mixture of them all.
Culture in Mindelo
This town is culturally rich; some people even consider it to be the heart of Cape Verde, thanks to the fact it has almost everything you might want from a location. The shops are great, the sea is ideal to ride on a jet ski or maybe just swim, amongst other things too!
This small, but beautiful town is ideal for anyone who enjoys exploring a completely unique way of life and finding out how different people do things. The people of this town are extremely welcoming so you’ll be able to feel completely comfortable at all times; not only this, but if you wish to mix with the locals then this will also be received with open arms.

Hiking in Santo Antao & Pico De Fogo
If you’re the adventurous type then this is definitely for you! Whilst these mountains aren’t considered an outstanding feat if you manage to reach the top, of course still takes a certain amount of both determination and fitness to do so. Meaning, you’ll be equally as satisfied once you have reached the top.
Likewise to any of the highest mountains in the world though, is the spectacular views (as pictured) that you’ll experience throughout. The best part of this mountain is the fact that wherever you are, no matter the height, you’ll be permanently greeted with beautiful aesthetics.

The island of Fogo is home to numerous fantastic volcanic landscapes. And Pico De Fogo is probably one of the most favoured tourist locations of them all. Thanks to the erupted volcanoes years back the landscape around here is extraordinary; if you put the landscape into an alien movie you’d presume that it was another planet.
This creates an extremely unique environment that most people say is like no other. It often makes people feel a way in which they haven’t before; which we believe shows perfectly just how powerful an effect the volcano has on people. This we feel, replicates the way in which the entire country works

Excitement Doesn’t Come Any Bigger Than A Visit To Vegas!

Sometimes the best way to get away from all the stress that daily life brings is to just let off some steam. Doing this at your local clubs will always be great fun, but once you’ve done it so many times it may begin to become repetitive and an anti climax.

Furthermore, this will mean you’ll inevitably end up looking for new adventures, new ways to allow yourself to go wild for a short period of time. There is no better way to do this than a visit to Las Vegas; the place with nightlife like no other! The city literally has everything you could ask for and more!

Whether it’s your style to go to a casino, go wild in some of the most luxurious clubs and bars, or even dine in style at some of the most prestigious restaurants - Las Vegas has it all. There is so much more to Vegas than just the night life and if you read on you’ll find out even more reasons you MUST visit!

The Strip…

The world famous lights of the Las Vegas strip, there is literally nowhere in the entire world that does things the way things are done in here. The 6km stretch is full to the brim of all different ways in which you can enjoy yourself.

Casinos, bars, clubs, hotels, luxury spas, shops, iconic landmarks; the Las Vegas boulevard doesn’t have a section that’s named ‘the entertainment capital of the world’ for no reason…this place is simply incredible and you’ll never be able to find anywhere even remotely  similar.

The Hoover Damn & the Grand Canyon…

Before the construction the Colorado River used to flood fairly often and as you might suspect, this caused some pretty heft problems. Likewise to any floods, this caused countless problems, including acres of farmland being almost completely destroyed. As you’d expect, it was completely necessary to be rid of this problem, thus, the dam being built!

This Dam is something of a spectacle in its own right, holding back an astonishing amount of water and the way it looks. It really does demonstrate the power and intelligence that builders, architects, and anyone else had to withhold; a man-made phenomenon!

The Grand Canyon is almost impossible to explain in a justifiable manner unless you have actually been there. This is because, it is something you’ll struggle to fully appreciate, without seeing it with your very own eyes. It is usually referred to as either “overwhelming” or “humbling” it is a feeling that really does give you some insight on how vast everything really is, when you consider this is merely an aspect of the world and is still huge. The canyon stretches for 443 km, is 16km wide, and as deep as 1.6km; this place would literally swallow anybody up if you were to be alone.

Summary…

There are a multitude of different things available for you to do whilst you are in Las Vegas. As stated above, there will be no other place in the world that is more alive than this city, or a city which offers more excitement, as well as there being the landmarks to enjoy throughout the day. Las Vegas will have you busy day and night. If you want to book a holiday of a life time head over to Compare Discount Holidays, for all the best cheap holidays.

The Most Relaxing Holiday Available Right Now!

We all go on holiday to have fun, experience new things but most importantly to relax. so we have picked out the best holiday destination where we think you can do just that, and it happens to be in paradise!  When you visit The Maldives, relaxation is guaranteed throughout the whole holiday.

During your stay you’ll never be bored. This is something the Maldives manages to do very well. Sometimes if your holiday resort tries extremely hard to be either fun and exciting or relaxing then it can end up coming across as too much of one or the other. Meaning, it ends up being too over the top and tiring or there being a lack of things to do.

What to experience during your stay…

The Maldives is the smallest Asian country in both population and land area. Conversely, it also has more to offer than many places throughout Asia. This beautiful country oozes out in originality. the place holds something you simply wouldn’t get anywhere else. Overall, this means every experience you have here, would be like no other.

Furthermore, the best part of The Maldives is that most of the country is left to its own devices and the landscape really does benefit from this. Most of its natural beauty is restored and it is the natural part of The Maldives which makes it such a wonderful place. A great example of this is what occurs every night; the water becomes electric neon blue, this is a natural phenomenon and looks fantastic too!

This is certainly a perfect location to visit with a partner, or even for a honeymoon. The natural beauty is a great place to base for couples. In fact, the environment almost makes creating a romantic atmosphere become seemingly easy to do. One great example of an activity you could enjoy together is a romantic meal on the beach.

World class accommodation…

The villas are undoubtedly up there with some of the best in the world. What they have to offer isn’t seen elsewhere and this makes for a high demand to stay here and understandably so. You’re able to literally open your front door and then jump into the sea, as the villas stretch out right into the turquoise waters.

You have a sofa overlooking the spectacular views the ocean has to offer; even the inside of the villa looks out onto the dazzling views; making an incredible feeling surrounding you even when inside. Some villas have their own pools literally in the sea. This makes for a very unique and quite simply special experience.

One thing that is predominant throughout The Maldives, in particular is the island, as there will literally be no place like this. The Maldives is the home of relaxation. The romance and excitement quietly sustains itself enough for you to never have a boring moment; find paradise during your stay at The Maldives.

Why Sharm El Sheikh Is So Popular!

Sharm el Sheikh has become the most popular resort in Egypt attracting more than 4,000 Brits a week, but what is the great attraction? The miles and miles of white sand and clear water is a good starting point for any Brits booking their holidays, this provides glorious hotels with their own stretch of beach. As we said, this is just the start of what Sharm el Sheikh can offer you.

Coastline

Sharm el Sheikh is situated in southern Sinai Peninsula with the privilege of the Red Sea on one side and the mountains of Mount Sinai on the other, already showing that Sharm el Sheikh is such a diverse place to visit. Having the coastline so near, you might as well grab a snorkel and get down under in the tropical land that this destination provides! Hurghada is another lively resort within reach of the Sharm, providing even more scuba diving experiences and marine life!

The ‘Sharm’ area offers two separate bays both adjacent to the resort. The Na'ama Bay provides tourists with an outstanding shopping centre and lovely restaurants for the evening. Whilst the Sharm al-Maya consists of even more glorious views and is a hotspot for cheap eats.

Mount Sinai

Close by is the beautiful mountains of Mount Sinai, a must see religious sightseeing experience. Sharm has very few cultural attractions such as art galleries, museums; but it certainly makes up for that with an opportunity of a lifetime, to see and travel up Mount Sinai either by camel or foot (depending on how brave you’re feeling!). Also located at the halfway point of Mount Sinai is the ‘Seven Elders of Israel Amphitheatre’, a great religious monument to see consisting of a very cheap fee.

A strong cultural food scene is another important factor to keep in mind whilst planning your desired destination.
