Treat Yourself To Some Quailty

As the main holiday season is over, research shows holiday makers chose to spend more money this year on good quality resorts and services over saving on price. Travel Insurance specialist Columbus Direct found that nearly 47% of holiday makers spent between £1000-£3000 on holidays already this year with 1 in 5 spending over £5000 on their trips.

A surprising 5% of Brits spent less than £500 on their holidays this year which is a revelation especially after the recession. This is good news for holiday companies as it means luxury resorts are starting to get the appreciation they deserve.

So, with this in mind, we have picked out our top three luxury quality holiday destinations guaranteed to be worth those extra pounds for next year’s holiday, or this years if you’re lucky enough to squeeze one in.

Croatia

Croatia is magnificent due to its Dalmatian coastline which stretches across the Adriatic from Slovenia. What makes Croatia so idyllic and luxurious is its crystal clear, turquoise waters and countless flawless bays.

We recommend you visit Croatia during the spring or summer when the sun is most prominently out and the days are dry. Temperatures usually reach up to 30 degrees on the coast during August. The location has all the luxury sites you will but there are parts where you can turn up the luxury button yourself, by indulging in some of their excellent value seafood’s and testing the local wines.

St Lucia

St Lucia the dream honeymoon destination due to the glam mountainous, beach views and resorts on the Caribbean island. However, this isn’t to say the posh island should be over looked by families looking for their yearly holiday as there is much more on offer than just the romantic strolls, lays and eats. The rainforest in St Lucia is made for hiking with the canopy of green which covers the island. The mountainous hills, Pitons rise and Pyramids of Volcanic stone are not to be missed either. - Then you must go back and relax on the beach.

St Lucia also bombards you with sights, sounds and smells of an active island. The waters are ideal for scuba diving, water sailing, jet skiing, snorkelling and much more - all in complete style because after all you are St Lucia.

Mauritius has commonly been described as ‘heaven’ with someone once saying Mauritius was made first then heaven copied. No matter where you look in Mauritius every angle is picturesque. During your trip you will experience a multitude of colours and tastes in an oasis of pure tranquillity.  Like the others, the waters in Mauritius are perfect for any type of water sport including diving and sailing, deep sea fishing windsurfing, and snorkelling. However if you’re someone who doesn’t like to get your feet wet then you can take a tour around the reefs on a boat trip.
