Why Sharm El Sheikh Is So Popular!

Sharm el Sheikh has become the most popular resort in Egypt attracting more than 4,000 Brits a week, but what is the great attraction? The miles and miles of white sand and clear water is a good starting point for any Brits booking their holidays, this provides glorious hotels with their own stretch of beach. As we said, this is just the start of what Sharm el Sheikh can offer you.

Coastline

Sharm el Sheikh is situated in southern Sinai Peninsula with the privilege of the Red Sea on one side and the mountains of Mount Sinai on the other, already showing that Sharm el Sheikh is such a diverse place to visit. Having the coastline so near, you might as well grab a snorkel and get down under in the tropical land that this destination provides! Hurghada is another lively resort within reach of the Sharm, providing even more scuba diving experiences and marine life!

The ‘Sharm’ area offers two separate bays both adjacent to the resort. The Na'ama Bay provides tourists with an outstanding shopping centre and lovely restaurants for the evening. Whilst the Sharm al-Maya consists of even more glorious views and is a hotspot for cheap eats.

Mount Sinai

Close by is the beautiful mountains of Mount Sinai, a must see religious sightseeing experience. Sharm has very few cultural attractions such as art galleries, museums; but it certainly makes up for that with an opportunity of a lifetime, to see and travel up Mount Sinai either by camel or foot (depending on how brave you’re feeling!). Also located at the halfway point of Mount Sinai is the ‘Seven Elders of Israel Amphitheatre’, a great religious monument to see consisting of a very cheap fee.

Restaurants

A strong cultural food scene is another important factor to keep in mind whilst planning your desired destination. The Sharm is not short of exquisite restaurants that will satisfy your needs combining great food with picture perfect views, the possibilities are endless. Arabesque is a beautifully unique and vibrant restaurant, providing specialties of Mediterranean, Moroccan and Lebanese food. If you fancy overlooking the Na'ama Bay whilst tucking into your chosen meal, head for the roof terrace of the ‘Ghazala Hotel’ for a unique fine dining experience. This would be a great way to end another adventurous day in Sharm el Sheikh!
